Job Description
Federal air marshals are an elite group of federal agents who are employed by the Department of Homeland Security. Armed air marshals operate undercover on domestic and international flights, conducting investigations, and gather intelligence to prevent terrorist attacks against America’s airlines. Air marshals receive the most intensive fire arms training and are considered the best shots of all law enforcement officers in the country.

Education Requirements
Air marshals require at least a bachelor’s degree as well as 3 years of general experience. Having a Bachelor’s degree or high may waive some of the requirements. Knowledge of aviation management is recommended.

Job Outlook
Job outlook is excellent, although highly competitive. The more education you have, the greater your chances of getting hired. In many places, a Master’s degree may be preferred.
